Kurbee ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Kurbee mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use Kurbee. By using Kurbee, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Full name
• Email address
• Home address (used to determine your trash collection day)
• Trash collection day
• Photos you upload when posting items

Information collected automatically:

• GPS location (when you browse the map or confirm item pickup)
• Device type and operating system
• App usage data (screens visited, actions taken)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Display your item listings on the map
• Calculate automatic listing expiry based on your trash collection day
• Verify pickup proximity (GPS check within 500 feet)
• Send in-app notifications about your listings
• Improve the App and fix issues

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising purposes.

4. Location Data

Kurbee requests access to your device's location for two purposes:

• Map browsing — to center the map on your current location and show nearby items
• Pickup verification — to confirm you are within 500 feet of an item before marking it as picked up

Location is only accessed while the App is in use. We do not track your location in the background. Your home address is stored in your profile and used only to calculate your listing expiry date. It is never shown publicly.

5. Photos

Photos you upload when posting items are stored in our cloud storage and are publicly visible to all Kurbee users. Do not post photos that contain sensitive personal information.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Supabase — our database and storage provider (processes data on our behalf)
• Google Maps — for map display functionality
• Law enforcement — if required by applicable law

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal profile data, listings, and bookmarks are permanently deleted within 30 days. Photos stored in cloud storage are deleted at the same time.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data via your Profile settings
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account

9. Children's Privacy

Kurbee is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately.

10. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and secure cloud storage. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Third-Party Services

Kurbee uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database, authentication, storage
• Google Maps — map display
• Expo — app platform

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
